A 35‑year‑old man in Shalimar, Alwar, allegedly gave poison to his son and daughter before ingesting it himself; the son died while the daughter is receiving treatment in hospital.
Police officials said the tragic incident unfolded in Shalimar, a locality under the Sadar police station of Alwar district, Rajasthan. According to the initial report, 35‑year‑old Mohit allegedly administered a toxic substance to his two children and then consumed the same poison himself.
Emergency services reached the scene after receiving distress calls. The son was pronounced dead at the spot, while the daughter was rushed to a nearby hospital where she remains under medical care. Mohit also succumbed to the poison shortly after being found.
