The farmers have raised water scarcity and a demand for debt relief as their core grievances, and the site is intended to sustain their agitation over the long term.
A stage has been erected at the point to facilitate speeches and gatherings, while the nearby golf club's access road has been rerouted to accommodate the protestors and prevent disruption to regular traffic.
