The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has established a fixed protest site at the 47/48 Light Point on the Chandigarh-Mohali border, diverting traffic from a nearby golf club and erecting a makeshift shelter.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has anchored a permanent protest camp on the Chandigarh-Mohali border, specifically at the 47/48 Light Point. The farmers have raised water scarcity and a demand for debt relief as their core grievances, and the site is intended to sustain their agitation over the long term.

A stage has been erected at the point to facilitate speeches and gatherings, while the nearby golf club's access road has been rerouted to accommodate the protestors and prevent disruption to regular traffic. The diversion has been in place since the camp was set up, signalling the scale of the demonstration.

Workers among the farmers are constructing a "langer" – a temporary shelter made of bamboo and tarpaulin – to provide basic amenities for the encamped participants. The move underscores the protestors' resolve to maintain a continuous presence until their demands are addressed by the authorities.
