Ex-India captain rebukes Gautam Gambhir for discouraging Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

The former captain of the Indian cricket side raised concerns over the treatment of emerging fast‑bowler Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, accusing Gautam Gambhir and his associates of undermining his confidence. In a recent statement, the ex‑leader said the comments and actions from Gambhir's camp were discouraging the youngster at a crucial stage of his career. "You are discouraging Vaibhav Sooryavanshi," he said, urging senior figures to support rather than demotivate upcoming talent. The remarks have sparked discussion among cricket circles about the responsibility of former players and commentators in nurturing the next generation. No official response from Gambhir or the Board of Control for Cricket in India has been recorded as of now.
