After the monsoon retreat, Madhya Pradesh is experiencing cooler nights and hotter days, with a brief spell of thunderstorms expected in its eastern region on October 7‑8.
The monsoon has officially withdrawn from Madhya Pradesh, ushering in a noticeable shift in daily temperatures. Nights across the state have become markedly cooler, while daytime temperatures are climbing, creating a classic post‑monsoon contrast.
Meteorological forecasts indicate that the eastern districts of the state will experience brief thunderstorm activity on October 7 and 8, accompanied by light rain. Residents are advised to stay prepared for sudden downpours despite the overall dry spell.
Overall, the monsoon season delivered 35.8 inches of rainfall, roughly four percent below the long‑term average, suggesting a slightly drier than normal year for the region.
