EAGLE Force arrests five in alleged interstate ganja network, Telangana

The EAGLE Force, a specialised wing of the Telangana police, carried out a coordinated operation targeting an alleged interstate network involved in the cultivation and distribution of ganja. The raid resulted in the seizure of narcotic material and the apprehension of five individuals suspected of facilitating the trade across state borders.
The five arrestees were taken into custody at locations within Telangana, though the exact sites have not been disclosed for security reasons. Authorities indicated that the suspects are believed to have links with similar networks operating in neighboring states, prompting a multi‑state investigation.
Police officials said the bust underscores the force’s ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region. Further interrogation and forensic analysis are underway, and the case will be forwarded to the courts for prosecution under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
