Drug Control Dept raids unlicensed pharma warehouse in Bhiwadi, seizes ₹4 crore stock

The Rajasthan Drug Control Department raided an unlicensed drug warehouse in Bhiwadi, confiscating medicines, raw material and equipment worth about ₹4 crore and forwarding nine samples for testing.
The Drug Control Department of Rajasthan conducted a surprise raid on an unlicensed pharmaceutical warehouse in Bhiwadi on Tuesday. Officials entered the premises without prior notice and secured the site after confirming the presence of illegal stock.
During the operation, authorities seized medicines, raw chemical inputs and processing equipment estimated to be worth around four crore rupees. The confiscated items included a large quantity of unregistered drug batches and the material required for their manufacture.
Investigators collected nine representative samples from the seized stock for laboratory analysis. The findings will be communicated to the drug regulatory authorities of neighboring states to aid coordinated action against the illicit supply chain.
The department has informed senior officials that the raid is part of an ongoing crackdown on unauthorized drug manufacturing units operating in the region, and further legal action will follow based on the lab results.
