The health authorities in Itanagar have officially announced a dengue alert after a sharp increase in patients reporting fever symptoms over the past week.
District medical officials said that suspected dengue cases have risen markedly, prompting immediate vector‑control measures across the city.
Residents are being urged to eliminate stagnant water, use mosquito repellents and seek medical attention promptly if they develop high fever, severe joint pain or rash.
