In the recent Delhi University student elections, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) secured the presidency and all secretary positions, while the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) lagged in every contest.

On 5 October, Delhi University conducted its student body elections, marking a significant shift in campus politics. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) emerged victorious, winning the presidency and all four secretary posts—Academic, Sports, Cultural, and Finance.

ABVP’s sweep was led by a robust campaign that emphasized academic excellence and student welfare. The party’s candidates secured a majority of votes across the university’s constituent colleges, reflecting strong grassroots support.

In contrast, the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) failed to win any of the contested positions. The party’s candidates received a lower share of votes, indicating a decline in influence among the student body.

The results underscore a broader trend of rising student support for ABVP, aligning with its national growth. University officials noted the importance of peaceful campaigning and urged all parties to respect the democratic process.
