The Delhi government has created DITI, modeled after NITI Aayog, to function as a premier advisory body for the capital.
The Delhi administration has announced the formation of a new entity called DITI, designed to operate as a top‑level advisory body for the city‑state. The initiative is explicitly modelled on the structure and mandate of NITI Aayog, the central government's policy think‑tank.
DTI is expected to provide strategic guidance to the Delhi government on a range of developmental, economic and governance issues, drawing on expert inputs and data‑driven analysis. By mirroring NITI Aayog's collaborative approach, the body aims to facilitate coordination between various departments and external stakeholders.
Officials indicated that DITI will serve as a platform for long‑term planning and policy formulation, helping Delhi address its unique challenges while aligning with national priorities. The establishment of the body marks a step toward institutionalising advisory mechanisms at the regional level.
