Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been named the face and coordinator of a new cancer screening initiative launched by the Punjab health department. The campaign, announced in Jalandhar, seeks to encourage residents to undergo routine checks for early signs of cancer, a step the state hopes will improve treatment outcomes.
Health officials said the drive will be rolled out across districts, leveraging existing medical facilities and mobile units to reach both urban and rural populations.
