CPI(ML) Survey Finds Many Wrongly Deleted Voters Still Reside in Bihar

The Communist Party of India (Marxist‑Leninist) conducted a field survey across multiple districts of Bihar to verify the accuracy of the state's electoral rolls. Researchers visited households listed as voters and cross‑checked their presence against the official roll data. The survey uncovered that a notable proportion of people who had been erroneously deleted from the rolls were still residing at the addresses recorded in the voter database. These findings highlight gaps in the roll‑updating process, which can disenfranchise citizens during elections. Election officials have been urged to review and correct the records promptly to ensure that all eligible voters can exercise their franchise.
