Congress Protests ₹800 Crore Temple Fund Drive in Ujjain

The Congress party in Ujjain has launched a protest against a proposed plan to raise ₹800 crore from 11 temples in the city. The funds are intended to be used for various religious and developmental purposes. Congress leader Bharat Porwal has strongly criticized the initiative, alleging irregularities and calling for the authorities involved to be held accountable, even suggesting potential imprisonment. However, Sanskrit scholars from Vikram University have come out in support of the temple fund drive, praising its potential to contribute to the preservation and promotion of Hindu culture and tradition.
