The Indian National Congress organized a district-level conference and a large public rally in Degana, Nagaur, as part of its campaign for the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections in Rajasthan.
The Indian National Congress has stepped up its grassroots outreach in Rajasthan ahead of the forthcoming Panchayati Raj elections. A district-level conference was convened in Degana, a town in Nagaur district, bringing together local party officials, activists and supporters. The event was followed by a sizable public rally intended to mobilise voters and showcase the party's organisational strength.
During the conference, party cadres discussed election strategies, candidate selection and ways to address local issues such as rural development and water management. The subsequent rally saw a large gathering of residents, with party workers distributing pamphlets and urging the electorate to back Congress candidates in the upcoming polls.
The move reflects Congress's broader effort to revive its presence in Rajasthan's rural heartland, where Panchayati Raj bodies play a crucial role in local governance. By concentrating activities in Degana, the party aims to consolidate support ahead of the election schedule, which is expected to be announced later this year.
