Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said that anyone praising Naxal commander Hidma is a ‘Dimagi Naxal’.
The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh publicly condemned individuals who glorify Hidma, a senior Naxal commander, describing them as "Dimagi Naxals" – a term implying ideological alignment with the insurgency. The statement was made during a press briefing in Raipur, where the CM reiterated the state government's zero‑tolerance stance towards any form of Naxal propaganda.
Hidma, known for leading attacks against security forces in the Bastar region, has been a focal point of the state's counter‑insurgency operations. By branding his admirers as mental Naxals, the CM aimed to deter any attempt to romanticise or legitimize his actions.
The remarks come amid ongoing efforts by the Chhattisgarh administration to curb Naxal influence through both security measures and development initiatives. No further comments were recorded from opposition leaders or civil‑society groups at the time of reporting.
