The Central Pollution Control Board has formally reprimanded the Haryana Pollution Control Board for failing to monitor dust levels adequately, citing repeated lapses in compliance.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CAQM) has issued a formal notice to the Haryana Pollution Control Board for its failure to monitor dust levels adequately. The notice highlights that the state board has repeatedly missed mandatory dust monitoring at key industrial sites, allowing unchecked particulate emissions to affect local air quality.

CAQM has demanded that the Haryana board immediately implement corrective measures and adhere strictly to national dust‑monitoring standards. The board has been warned that further non‑compliance could lead to additional sanctions.

In response, the Haryana Pollution Control Board has pledged to review its monitoring protocols and take steps to ensure that dust levels are tracked consistently across all regulated sites.
