BJP to Light ‘Blessing Lamps’ Across Rajasthan on PM Modi’s Birthday, Says Madan Rathod

On September 17, the BJP will organise a statewide lighting of ‘blessing lamps’ at 7 pm to wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi good health and longevity, according to party leader Madan Rathod.
The Bharatiya Janata Party announced that on September 17, the evening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, volunteers across Rajasthan will light small oil lamps, termed “blessing lamps,” at 7 pm. The coordinated activity is intended to convey wishes for the prime minister’s continued health and long life.
Party spokesperson Madan Rathod explained that the lamps will be placed in homes, party offices and public spaces, creating a visual display of support. He urged party workers and supporters to participate, emphasizing that the gesture reflects gratitude for the prime minister’s leadership.
Modi’s birthday has traditionally been marked by various political and cultural events. This year, the BJP’s lamp‑lighting campaign seeks to blend a symbolic ritual with a political message, reinforcing the party’s connection with its base in the state ahead of upcoming electoral cycles.
