Social activist Prhalad Pandey accused BJP MLA Golu Shukla and his supporters of assault and indecent behavior in Indore, alleging that police have not registered an FIR.

Indore social worker Prhalad Pandey lodged a complaint alleging that supporters of BJP legislator Golu Shukla physically assaulted him and behaved indecently. Pandey said the incident was captured on a video that later circulated online, showing him being beaten and his mobile phone forcibly taken.

In the viral footage, Pandey can be heard pleading while the assailants threaten to delete the recording unless he complies with their demands. He has claimed that the attackers tried to confiscate his phone to prevent the video from being shared.

Despite the public nature of the assault, local police officials have not filed a First Information Report (FIR), prompting Pandey to accuse the authorities of inaction. The lack of an FIR has raised concerns among civil society groups about the impartiality of law‑enforcement in politically sensitive cases.

The incident has sparked debate on social media, with many users demanding a prompt investigation and urging the police to register a formal complaint. No official response from the MLA’s office or the police department has been released as of now.
