Inter‑college student Sagar Kumar from Haspura, Aurangabad, has built a compact ‘Sipzo’ device that can prepare meals and hot drinks without using gas, electricity or fire.
Sagar Kumar, a student at an inter‑college in Haspura, Aurangabad district of Bihar, unveiled a novel cooking apparatus he calls ‘Sipzo’. The device, roughly the size of a lunch‑box, is designed to heat food and beverages without relying on conventional energy sources such as gas, electricity or fire.
The prototype operates on a chemical reaction that generates heat, allowing it to prepare a simple meal or a cup of tea within minutes. Its compact form makes it portable, and it does not require any external power supply, making it suitable for use in areas with limited infrastructure.
Kumar spent approximately eighteen months developing the Sipzo, aiming to provide an affordable solution for households lacking reliable energy. While still in the testing phase, the invention has drawn attention from local innovators and could inspire further low‑cost, off‑grid cooking technologies.
