The Bihar Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurship Scheme has released the first installment of ₹96 crore, distributing funds to 4,800 beneficiaries to kickstart small businesses.
The Bihar government’s flagship entrepreneurship initiative has rolled out its first tranche of financial support. Under the scheme, 4,800 selected beneficiaries have received a total of ₹96 crore to launch or expand their ventures. The funds are earmarked for setting up small businesses, ranging from salons and manufacturing units to digital services.
Many recipients are already using the capital to purchase equipment, secure premises and hire staff. Local entrepreneurs report that the infusion of capital has enabled them to create jobs in their communities and boost local economies.
The Chief Minister’s office highlighted that the disbursement marks a significant step toward fostering self‑employment and reducing unemployment in the state. Officials say the scheme will continue to provide additional installments as per the approved schedule.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to stimulate entrepreneurship across Bihar, with a focus on youth and women entrepreneurs, and aims to create a sustainable ecosystem for small businesses.
