The Bihar Education Department has opened counselling for the 2026 B.Ed CET and announced that vacant seats will be filled through instant admission.
Patna, Bihar – The state’s B.Ed Common Entrance Test (CET) for the 2026 academic year entered its counselling phase on Monday, with officials confirming that all seats left vacant after the first round will be offered for instant admission. The move aims to ensure that eligible candidates who missed the initial allocation can still secure a teaching position without further delay.
According to the counselling brochure released by the Bihar School Examination Board, candidates holding a valid rank list will be invited to appear at designated centres. Seats will be allotted on a first‑come‑first‑served basis, subject to verification of documents and payment of the admission fee. Applicants are required to carry original certificates, domicile proof and a recent photograph.
The instant admission window will remain open for three days, after which the final merit list will be published on the official website. Aspirants are advised to monitor the portal regularly and complete the registration process before the deadline to avoid missing the opportunity.
Education officials said the expedited process is expected to fill the remaining vacancies quickly, helping colleges meet their faculty requirements for the upcoming semester.
