New Delhi hosted the opening of the Bharat Agriculture Conference 2026 as part of the city’s Diwali celebrations. The venue, filled with festive lights, set a symbolic backdrop for an event that aims to showcase the spirit and contributions of India’s farming community.
Organisers positioned the conference as a platform to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in Indian agriculture, with a special emphasis on the perseverance of farmers during the festive season. Sessions are slated to cover topics ranging from sustainable farming practices to market access and technology adoption.
Delegates from across the country, including agricultural scientists, policy makers and farmer representatives, gathered to exchange ideas and explore collaborative solutions. The convergence of a national agricultural forum with Diwali’s cultural significance underscored the deep-rooted link between farming and Indian traditions.
Stakeholders expect the conference to generate actionable recommendations that can inform government schemes and private sector initiatives aimed at strengthening the agricultural value chain.
