The Bangalore Development Authority has extended the deadline for submitting applications for the Karanth Layout site to October 31, giving prospective buyers additional time.
The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) announced on Monday that the cut‑off date for filing applications for the Karanth Layout residential site has been moved to 31 October. The decision comes after a surge in interest from home‑buyers and investors seeking plots in the newly planned layout.
Applicants are required to submit the standard set of documents, including proof of identity, income, and eligibility, at any BDA office or through the authority’s online portal before the new deadline. The extension provides an additional two weeks beyond the earlier deadline, which was set for mid‑October.
BDA officials said the move is intended to ensure that all eligible candidates have sufficient time to complete the paperwork and to avoid a rush that could compromise the verification process. The authority will announce the final list of allotments after the deadline, following a thorough review of all submissions.
The Karanth Layout, located on the outskirts of Bengaluru, is part of the city’s broader plan to expand affordable housing and improve infrastructure in peripheral zones. The extended deadline is expected to boost participation and help the project stay on schedule.
