The Taksing region, situated in the far‑north of Arunachal Pradesh, lies along the Line of Actual Control with China and has long been a point of strategic sensitivity.
During a recent parliamentary session, MP Tai Tagak voiced alarm over a possible Chinese incursion into Taksing. He highlighted that the area is surrounded by a vast expanse of no‑man’s land, which could provide a corridor for hostile movement.
Tagak pointed out that the no‑man’s land, largely unpatrolled and sparsely populated, poses a significant security risk. Its size and remoteness could allow forces to move undetected, raising concerns for the Indian Army’s forward posts.
The MP called for a comprehensive review of border surveillance and urged the government to strengthen patrols and infrastructure in the region to pre‑empt any potential breach.
