Arunachal Locals Protest China's Mega Dam Project

Protests have erupted in Arunachal Pradesh against a large-scale dam project being constructed by China on the Siang river, a tributary of the Brahmaputra. Locals express concerns that the dam will have detrimental effects on their livelihoods and the surrounding ecosystem. The Siang river is vital to the region, providing water for agriculture and supporting local communities. Protesters fear the dam will disrupt the natural flow of the river, leading to water shortages and ecological damage.
