Late-night gunmen opened fire at the Line Hotel in Lalganj, Bihar, wounding a diner and abducting the hotel owner's son.
Late Wednesday night, a group of armed men on a motorcycle entered the Line Hotel at Bedouli Chowk in Lalganj, Vaishali district, Bihar, and opened fire repeatedly. Police reports say several rounds were discharged, striking a customer who was dining inside the establishment. The victim sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
In the same incident, the assailants seized the hotel owner's son and fled the scene with him. The motive behind the kidnapping has not been disclosed, and the boy’s whereabouts remain unknown as authorities launch a search.
Local police have cordoned off the area, collected forensic evidence, and are interrogating witnesses. No other casualties have been reported so far, and the investigation is ongoing to identify the perpetrators and determine whether the attack is linked to any criminal rivalry or extortion attempt.
