An artificial flood in Genduwa Pathar, Rupahihat, Assam, has completely submerged cultivated land, according to India Today NE.

The Genduwa Pathar locality of Rupahihat in Assam is now fully underwater after an artificial flood intensified, submerging every parcel of cultivated land, India Today NE reported.

Local officials confirmed that 100 percent of the farmland in the area is inundated, leaving farmers unable to access their fields and raising concerns over the upcoming cropping season. No official estimate of crop loss has been released yet, but the complete submergence threatens significant agricultural damage.

Relief teams have been dispatched to the region to assess the situation and provide immediate assistance to affected families, while authorities are reviewing the cause of the artificial water release to prevent similar incidents in the future.
