Veteran actor Ajay Devgn began shooting his upcoming film ‘Chauhaan’ in Kargil, marking his first visit to Ladakh since the 1999 Line of Control conflict.
Bollywood star Ajay Devgn arrived in Kargil, Ladakh, on Monday to commence principal photography for his forthcoming project titled “Chauhaan.” The location, known for its stark mountainous landscape, was selected to provide an authentic backdrop for the film’s action sequences.
The shoot marks Devgn’s return to the region after a gap of 23 years, the last visit having been during the 1999 Kargil conflict that ended at the Line of Control. Industry sources said the actor’s presence has drawn local attention, with residents gathering to watch the crew set up equipment on the high-altitude terrain.
Production officials confirmed that the schedule will span several weeks, during which the team will capture key scenes across various sites in and around Kargil. No further details about the film’s plot or release date have been disclosed at this stage.
