Air India and IndiGo halt Riyadh flights after attack

Air India announced the immediate suspension of all scheduled services to Riyadh after a security incident in the Saudi capital. IndiGo issued a similar notice, cancelling its flights to the city pending further assessment. The airlines have directed affected passengers to contact their customer service centers for rebooking or refunds. Authorities in Saudi Arabia have heightened security measures following the attack, which prompted the airlines to halt operations as a precaution. Travelers are advised to stay updated through official airline communications and the Ministry of External Affairs.

The cancellation affects both inbound and outbound flights, disrupting business and pilgrimage travel that typically connects India with Saudi Arabia. While the airlines await clarification from Saudi aviation regulators, they have not provided a timeline for resumption of services.

Air India and IndiGo have also urged passengers to monitor visa and entry requirements, as the situation may influence travel advisories issued by the Indian government.
