On Thursday, the third day of the second phase of Rajasthan’s 2026 Panchayat elections, 85 nomination papers were submitted for four Panchayat Samitis in Sirohi district, with today being the last day to file.
The State Election Commission continued the nomination process for the second phase of Rajasthan’s 2026 Panchayat elections on Thursday, marking the third day of filings. Candidates seeking seats in the Panchayat Samiti (block) committees of Sirohi district submitted their paperwork as the deadline approaches.
According to the commission’s records, a total of 85 nomination forms were lodged across four Panchayat Samitis in the district. The submissions reflect a steady flow of aspirants aiming to contest the local self‑government bodies that will be elected later this year.
Thursday is the penultimate day for filing, with today being the final opportunity for any remaining candidates to register. Election officials have urged prospective nominees to ensure all documents are complete, as the next step will be the scrutiny of applications before the official list of candidates is announced.
