Manipur police recovered the severed head of an attack victim five days after they discovered a Naga body, continuing the investigation into the incident.
Manipur police announced on Friday that they have retrieved the severed head of a victim of a recent violent incident in the state. The recovery took place five days after authorities uncovered the body of a Naga individual believed to be linked to the same attack.
The earlier discovery of the Naga body had prompted a heightened security response and a series of forensic examinations. Officials said the new find adds a critical piece of evidence that could help reconstruct the sequence of events surrounding the assault.
Investigators are now focusing on forensic analysis of the recovered head to establish identity and determine the circumstances of the killing. Police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist the probe, emphasizing that the case remains under active investigation.
