In Indore, 11‑year‑old Parth became an organ donor, giving his eyes to two recipients and highlighting a rare act of child altruism.

Indore witnessed a remarkable act of compassion when 11‑year‑old Parth, a resident of the city, consented to donate his eyes after his untimely death. The donation was coordinated by local hospitals and the state organ transplant authority, ensuring that the corneas were promptly retrieved and preserved for transplantation.

Two patients, both suffering from severe corneal blindness, received the corneas and are now scheduled for surgery that could restore their sight. Medical officials emphasized that the quality of the donated tissue met all clinical standards, making the transplants highly promising.

The event has drawn attention to the importance of organ and tissue donation in Madhya Pradesh, with health authorities urging families to consider donation as a means of giving life to others. Parth’s family expressed pride in his selfless act, hoping it will inspire more people to register as donors.

Local NGOs and community groups have pledged to spread awareness about organ donation, citing Parth’s case as a powerful example of how even a child’s contribution can change multiple lives.
