Zelenskyy thanks US for new Russia sanctions law ahead of New York meeting with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the United States for enacting a law that strengthens sanctions on Russia and announced his upcoming meeting with President Donald Trump in New York next week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly praised the United States after Congress passed a new law that expands economic and diplomatic sanctions against Russia. The legislation, which targets key sectors of the Russian economy and imposes additional restrictions on individuals linked to the Kremlin, is seen as a further step in Washington’s effort to pressure Moscow over its war in Ukraine.
In a statement released from Kyiv, Zelenskyy said the new sanctions "send a clear message that the world will not tolerate aggression" and expressed gratitude to the U.S. administration and lawmakers for their continued support.
