The five‑day Yuva Dasara cultural programme began today in Mysuru, featuring performances by well‑known artists.
Yuva Dasara, a youth‑focused segment of the annual Dasara festivities, was inaugurated today at the historic grounds of Mysuru, Karnataka. The opening ceremony marked the start of a five‑day schedule of cultural events.
Organisers have lined up a roster of popular artistes from music, dance and theatre to entertain the crowds. Performances are scheduled across multiple venues, including the Mysuru Palace courtyard and the Dasara Exhibition Grounds.
The festival aims to attract both local residents and tourists, offering a blend of traditional Karnataka art forms and contemporary entertainment. Authorities have deployed additional security and crowd‑management measures to ensure a safe environment.
Ticketed shows and free street performances will run concurrently, providing options for different audiences. The programme will conclude with a grand finale on the fifth day, coinciding with the main Dasara celebrations.
