On Friday night, a young man climbed a high-voltage electricity pole in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, coming dangerously close to live wires. Police cut the power supply, persuaded him to descend, and rescued him, suspecting he was intoxicated.
The incident occurred in Seoni district when the youth scaled the electricity pole and moved near the high-voltage lines. Local residents alerted the authorities after noticing the dangerous situation. Upon receiving the information, police teams arrived at the scene promptly.
To ensure safety, the police coordinated with the electricity department to shut off the power supply to the pole. Officers then used loudspeakers and persuasion to convince the youth to come down. After a tense period, he was safely brought to the ground.
Preliminary observations by the police suggest that the youth appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, though no formal medical test was conducted at the scene. He was handed over to his family after the rescue, and no injuries were reported.
