Youth Groups Launch Environmental Awareness Campaigns to Protect Bangalore’s Lalbagh and Cubbon Parks
Local volunteer organisations are organising programmes to safeguard the green cover of Lalbagh and Cubbon Park, aiming to keep the parks pollution‑free.
Local volunteer organisations in Bangalore have announced a series of environmental awareness programmes aimed at protecting the green cover of the city’s flagship parks, Lalbagh and Cubbon Park, and keeping them free from pollution.
The initiatives, organised by youth groups, will involve activities such as tree-planting drives, waste segregation workshops and clean-up campaigns scheduled over the next few months.
By focusing on these iconic green spaces, the volunteers hope to raise public awareness about the importance of maintaining biodiversity and reducing environmental degradation in urban settings.
The programmes are part of a broader effort by community groups to promote sustainable practices and encourage residents to take an active role in preserving Bangalore’s natural heritage.
