Yogi Adityanath says Congress, SP politics will fade as development projects proceed

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted that the political relevance of the Congress and Samajwadi Party will diminish if the state’s development agenda remains on track. Speaking at a press briefing, the CM highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects, rural electrification schemes and investment drives as evidence of the government's focus on growth.
He emphasized that tangible progress in roads, schools and health facilities would naturally erode the appeal of opposition politics that, in his view, rely on anti‑development rhetoric. "When people see real change, they stop voting on old slogans," he said.
The statement underscores the CM’s strategy of linking governance performance directly to electoral prospects, a theme that has featured prominently in his administration’s public messaging.
No immediate response from Congress or the Samajwadi Party was recorded at the time of reporting.
The remark comes as Uttar Pradesh continues to roll out several flagship projects aimed at boosting economic activity and improving public services across the state.
