A yellow rain alert has been issued for six districts in Rajasthan as a western disturbance affects the state, with light showers expected from Oct 13 in parts of Bikaner division and Shekhawati.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) raised a yellow rain alert for six districts of Rajasthan on Sunday, citing the influence of a western disturbance moving across the region. The alert signals the possibility of moderate rainfall that could affect daily activities and agriculture in the notified districts.
The warning covers a broad area, but specific district names were not disclosed in the advisory. Residents in the affected zones have been advised to stay alert, secure outdoor items, and monitor local weather updates.
From 13 October, a new weak weather system is expected to develop, bringing the chance of light rain to the Bikaner division and several districts within the Shekhawati region. The IMD cautioned that while the precipitation is likely to be light, it may still impact travel and outdoor work.
Authorities recommend that farmers and commuters in the notified districts take precautionary measures, such as checking drainage conditions and adjusting field activities, to mitigate any inconvenience caused by the anticipated rainfall.
