A 168.39‑crore project will install the world’s tallest statue of Maharana Pratap at the historic Haldighati site, forming part of a new tourist circuit in Rajasthan.
The Rajasthan government has approved a Rs 168.39 crore scheme to erect the tallest statue of Maharana Pratap in the world at Haldighati, the historic battlefield of 1576. The monument will be positioned on the hilltop that overlooks the pass, a site synonymous with the legendary Rajput ruler’s resistance against the Mughal forces.
The initiative is a cornerstone of the Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit, a broader plan to develop infrastructure, improve connectivity and promote heritage tourism across the region. Officials anticipate that the towering statue will draw both domestic and international visitors, boosting local economies and creating employment opportunities.
Construction is slated to begin later this year, with the design featuring a larger-than-life bronze figure mounted on a granite pedestal. The project aligns with Rajasthan’s ongoing efforts to showcase its cultural legacy while leveraging iconic landmarks for sustainable tourism growth.
