A woman gained unauthorized access to the Bengal Secretariat in Kolkata by posing as a Prime Minister’s Office official, prompting security concerns.
Earlier this week, a woman managed to enter the Bengal Secretariat in Kolkata by presenting herself as an official from the Prime Minister’s Office. Security personnel initially allowed her passage, believing her credentials were genuine.
The breach was discovered when staff members noticed the absence of any official record of her visit. Upon verification, the woman was escorted out and detained for questioning.
State police have opened an investigation to determine how the impersonation was carried out and whether any sensitive information was accessed. Officials have warned that stricter verification protocols will be implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
