The Election Commission of India has announced that a 'Lakshman Rekha' will be demarcated around every polling booth across West Bengal to ensure smooth conduct of elections.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has decided to implement a new measure for the upcoming elections in West Bengal. A demarcation known as 'Lakshman Rekha' will be drawn around every polling booth in the state.
This initiative aims to streamline the election process and maintain order at polling stations. The 'Lakshman Rekha' is intended to clearly define the boundaries within which polling activities will take place, potentially reducing confusion and ensuring a more organized environment for voters and election officials.
The ECI's decision underscores a commitment to ensuring free and fair elections by introducing specific protocols to manage the polling day environment effectively across all constituencies.
