The Sikh advocacy group WARRING has publicly condemned the Haryana police for alleged brutality during recent protests by Sikh demonstrators.
The Sikh rights organization WARRING released a statement today condemning the Haryana police for what it described as brutal treatment of Sikh protestors during recent demonstrations in the state.
WARRING said that police used excessive force, including batons and tear gas, against peaceful demonstrators who were rallying for their community’s concerns.
The group called for an independent inquiry into the incidents and urged authorities to hold those responsible accountable.
So far, the Haryana police department has not issued a formal response to the allegations.
