The action‑slasher ‘Cult’, starring Vishwak Sen, collected Rs 1.10 crore across Indian theatres on its first day.
Vishwak Sen’s latest venture, the action‑slasher titled “Cult”, hit Indian screens on Friday, marking the actor’s foray into a darker, high‑octane genre. The film, directed by a noted filmmaker, promises intense chase sequences and a gritty storyline.
According to trade reports, “Cult” generated a net collection of Rs 1.10 crore from domestic theatres on its opening day. The figure reflects ticket sales from major metros as well as smaller towns where the film was released.
Industry analysts note that the opening performance places the movie in a modest bracket for a mid‑budget release, and its future earnings will depend on word‑of‑mouth and subsequent weekend footfall. The producers have not disclosed the film’s budget, making it difficult to gauge profitability at this stage.
