Viral Video Claiming Punjabi Woman Gave Birth to Six Babies Debunked

NDTV’s fact‑checking team examined a viral video that circulated on social media, claiming a woman from Punjab had delivered six babies. The clip shows a woman in a hospital setting, but no official records or documentation accompany it.

The investigators searched hospital archives and birth registries in Punjab and found no entries that matched the claim. No medical reports, birth certificates, or hospital staff confirmations were provided.

Experts suggest the video appears to have been edited or staged, and that sensational claims of multiple births are common online. The absence of corroborating evidence indicates the clip is likely fabricated.

NDTV urges viewers to verify sources before sharing such stories and highlights the network’s commitment to countering misinformation.
