Villagers Appeal to MP for Sanction of Cultural Hall in Hosuru Siddapur
Devadurga, Sept. 18: Villagers of Hosuru Siddapur in Devadurga taluk of Raichur district have appealed to Raichur MP Sri G. Kumar Naik to sanction and construct a cultural hall in the village under the MP’s development fund.
Led by village leader Basavaraj Mandalಗುಡ್ಡ, the villagers visited the MP’s office in Raichur and met MP G. Kumar Naik. They explained that the village needs a suitable facility to conduct various cultural and social programmes.
The villagers stated that a cultural hall is essential for organising cultural, religious and public programmes in the village. They urged the MP to sanction the required funds from the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) and facilitate the construction of the hall.
Responding to the appeal, MP G. Kumar Naik assured the villagers that their demand for a cultural hall would be examined in the coming days.
Congress leaders and Taluk Guarantee Implementation Committee member Shivu Patil Ganadal, Hosuru Siddapur village leaders Basavaraj Mandalಗುಡ್ಡ, Shivappa, Venkatesh and Devaraju, along with other villagers, were present on the occasion.
