The Vijay government celebrates its 100th day in power, marking a milestone for the old state under a new ruler. Analysts weigh the benefits and drawbacks of the administration’s relative inexperience.
The Vijay government has reached the 100‑day mark since taking office, a significant milestone for the state’s long political history. The new ruler, who has recently assumed leadership, is navigating the challenges of governing an established electorate.
Observers note that the administration’s fresh perspective can bring innovative ideas and a willingness to experiment, potentially revitalising policy areas that have stagnated under previous regimes.
However, the government’s relative inexperience also raises concerns about decision‑making speed, policy continuity, and the ability to manage complex bureaucratic structures, prompting critics to caution against hasty reforms.
