VHP chief questions corporate garbas, likens mother worship to Mecca's Kaaba in Indore

During a press briefing in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the head of the Vishva Hindu Parishad publicly questioned the rise of corporate garbas, suggesting that they commercialise religious sentiment. He highlighted that the reverence offered to the Mother Goddess in these garbas was being equated with the sanctity of the Kaaba in Mecca, a comparison that sparked immediate attention. The VHP chief argued that such parallels undermine the distinct spiritual traditions of Hindu worship. No official response from the corporations involved or from other religious bodies has been recorded as of now. The statement adds to ongoing debates about the commercialization of faith in India.
