Vedanta Oil and Gas has outlined a $200 million capital expenditure plan for fiscal year 2027 aimed at accelerating oil recovery in its Mangala field in Rajasthan.

Vedanta Oil and Gas Ltd announced a capital spending program of $200 million for the fiscal year 2027, targeting enhanced oil recovery at its Mangala field in Barmer, Rajasthan. The plan is part of the company's broader strategy to extend the productive life of the field and improve output levels.

The Mangala field, one of India's largest onshore oil assets, has been under Vedanta's operation since 2012. By deploying advanced recovery techniques and additional drilling infrastructure, the firm expects to increase cumulative production and sustain cash flows.

Company officials said the investment will be allocated to well workovers, injection facilities, and digital monitoring systems. The move aligns with Vedanta's commitment to boost domestic energy supply and reduce reliance on imports.

Financial analysts view the $200‑million capex as a sign of confidence in the field's remaining reserves, noting that successful recovery could positively impact Vedanta's earnings in the coming years.
