Varun Dhawan Calls for Greater Recognition of Behind‑the‑Scenes Talent at Bollywood Award Shows

Varun Dhawan, the popular Bollywood actor, said on a recent interview that award shows should honour the people who work behind the camera. He pointed out that technicians such as editors, cinematographers, sound designers and set designers play a crucial role in making a film successful. Dhawan noted that most major ceremonies focus on actors and directors, leaving many key contributors unacknowledged. He called for a dedicated category or special recognition for these professionals at major events like Filmfare, IIFA and others.
