Heavy monsoon rains in Uttarakhand have led to the collapse of a retaining wall in De Dehradun, shutting 69 roads and damaging several houses, authorities report.

Uttarakhand has been battered by intense monsoon rains, causing widespread flooding and infrastructure damage across the state.

In De Dehradun, a retaining wall collapsed under the weight of the downpour, blocking several major roads and leaving a number of houses in the vicinity damaged.

The state government has shut 69 roads in the region to prevent further accidents and is coordinating with local authorities to clear debris and restore connectivity.

Rescue teams from the police and fire services are on the ground, conducting search and rescue operations and providing relief to affected residents.
