On 28 September 2026, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented the state’s 2026 Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Policy at a ceremony in Dehradun.
The policy, which incorporates guidance from the Government of Economic Policy (GEP) reports, places a strong emphasis on developing carbon credit markets and expanding water harvesting projects across the state.
Dhami stated that the initiative aims to position Uttarakhand as a leader in sustainable technology, while also boosting local economies through green innovation and improved water security.
